Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using TaxEnvelope, a tax relief tracking application operated by Lee Sze Yuan ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaxEnvelope, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use the service.

2. Account Eligibility

To use TaxEnvelope you must:

  • Be a resident or taxpayer in Malaysia.
  • Provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials secure.
  • Not share your account with any other person.
  • Promptly notify us at lsyuan1029@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conditions.

3. Permitted Use

TaxEnvelope is provided solely to help you:

  • Track and plan your Malaysian income tax relief entitlements.
  • Upload and store receipts or supporting documents for your own personal tax records.
  • Review AI-assisted suggestions about applicable tax relief categories.
All information provided by the application is for general reference only and does not constitute professional tax or legal advice.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or any content that could harm the service or other users.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the application.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the service without our written consent.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, logos, and software comprising TaxEnvelope are the exclusive property of Lee Sze Yuan or its licensors. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property for any purpose beyond using the service as described in Section 3 above.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

TaxEnvelope is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated suggestions are indicative only — always verify your tax position with LHDN guidelines or a qualified tax professional.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Lee Sze Yuan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to any errors in tax calculations, data loss, or decisions made in reliance on the application's output. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or if required by applicable law. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these terms will cease immediately. Sections 5, 6, 7, and 9 of these terms survive termination.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of TaxEnvelope after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
